Our Modules

A New Dawn

A New Dawn, our flagship online program gives adolescent girls a foundational start to living a purposeful life. The program focuses on five key areas; character development, sexual and reproductive health, entrepreneurial leadership, digital literacy and career development. Sections of the program are delivered in person in rural and urban poor communities where girls or their parents may not have access to internet and a smartphone. In addition to girls participating from the comfort of their homes, we partner with schools and educational institutions to provide internet and computers for girls to complete the program with little to no interruptions.

ShareCare

Girls come into our program from varying backgrounds. We provide scholarships and bursaries through the Bowney Educational Fund to assist girls with dire financial needs to start or complete school at various levels; Junior High School, Senior High School, Tertiary institutions and Vocational training schools. Our platform Bowney Gifts showcases products largely made by our girls to directly support them and financially sustain our program.

Mmaasima

“Mmaasima” is an Akan phrase which means ideal ladies. As the name suggest, our mentorship program connects girls with accomplished men and women provide coaching and advise at different phases of the personal and professional growth of girls. Mentors can contribute in two ways

1.Lifelong Mentor

As a lifelong mentor, you are directly paired with one or two girls for the long-term at least 5 years.

2.Friends of Bowney

As a mentor and coach, you are “free flowing” and provide advice and support to girls at different points in time. You are not paired with anyone girl.

BizzGirls

Through our BizzGirls program we support girls are excited about starting their own businesses or personal projects after receiving vocational training certificates or graduating from tertiary institutions or completing our online program. We provide startup funds, mentorship training and opportunities to sustain and accelerate their ventures and personal projects
